Description

We are excited to kick off our Sounds of a Summer Night concert series with a special homage to the 1970s! Reeves-Reed Arboretum was founded in 1974 as a non-profit public garden and has been inspiring and educating the community through nature ever since.  This year we are celebrating our 50th anniversary!

Please join us for this memorable evening in the garden as Gerard and Diane Barros pay tribute to the multi-award-winning songstress and 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Carly Simon. Carly Simon rose to fame in the 1970s and acquired numerous top 40 hits. The Barros' band will cover many of Carly’s solo classics and collaborations with artists such as James Taylor & Michael McDonald.

The annual gala, that was held on June 1, launched Sounds of a Summer Night, a summer long series of concerts-in-the-garden that will compliment the installation and wall-hung art exhibit of sculptor Tom Holmes.

Thanks to underwriting by Investors Savings Bank, this series is free to all RRA members.

Sounds of a Summer Night is made possible, in part, by support from Nick and Tracy McKee, and by the Grand Summit Hotel. For more information about this series and other programs and events at Reeves-Reed Arboretum, please visit our website, www.reeves-reedarboretum.org, or call 908-273-8787.
