The Holiday Festival, featuring the Christmas Walk, Santa’s Grand Parade, International Celebrations, and fireworks, takes place on Friday, Nov. 23.
The annual Christmas Walk, an evening gathering traditionally held on the Friday after Thanksgiving in the downtown area, will be part of the Holiday Festival. The festival will feature Santa’s Grand Arrival Parade along Springfield Ave. and through the Village Shopping Center; various customs and celebrations from around the world; and Friday night fireworks sponsored by NP Fuel! The event continues the next day with offers and activities on Small Business Saturday. This huge event will take place in downtown New Providence (New location: Springfield Ave. and Village Shopping Center) and will offer treats, activities, entertainment, giveaways, and more:

The event takes place downtown from 5 – 7 PM on Fri., Nov. 23. Springfield Ave., portions of the Village Shopping Center parking lot, and Adams Shopping Center parking lot will close at 4 PM on Fri., Nov. 23.
Santa’s Grand Parade starts at 6 PM on Springfield Ave. at South Street. There will be lots of photo opportunities when the marching band escorts Santa and his firetruck into the festival and stop on Springfield Ave. and in the Village Shopping Center. He’ll have his elves with him handing out treats to the kids, too!
Friday, November 23, 5– 7 PM – New Location!!
4 PM – Springfield Ave. from South Street to Gales Drive, Adams Shopping Center lot, and part of Village Shopping Center lot close (Please move cars from those areas)
5 PM – Festival starts
6 PM – Santa’s Grand Parade (Santa’s arrival)- (Marching east along Springfield Ave. and through the Village Shopping Center)
7 PM – Fireworks sponsored by NP Fuel – visible from anywhere within the event area! Festival ends at conclusion of fireworks show
9 PM – Roads reopen (approximate time)
