Radical Aardvarks! What sets Music for Aardvarks apart is the songs. This nationally recognized "grownup and me" style interactive music class originated in Brooklyn by classically trained punk rocker David Weinstone, who set out to create a program that modern urban children could relate to.
The vast repertoire of songs- over 150- span genres from classic rock, reggae, hip hop, Brazilian jazz, and punk, and keep kids and adults engaged. Songs such as the Taxi song, Big Old Tree and Grumpy have been featured on Nickelodeon, and are just a few of the awesome songs that are exclusive to this program. The mixed age classes encourage a love of music making; kids sing, clap, stomp, jump and interact joyfully with instruments and props.
Kat De Bari has been delighting the musical souls of Maplewood's tiniest tots for over 10 years with her highly engaging classes, playing guitar and singing this awesome kids music.
