Watsessing Park Sprayground

Glenwood Avenue and Dodd Street, East Orange, NJ

What to expect: 3,000 square foot ocean-themed splash pad located in the 69 acre Watsessing Park. Offers shade canopy with seating!

Dates and hours: Saturday, June 4 & Sunday, June 5, Saturday, June 11 & Sunday, June 12, Opening Daily on Saturday, June 18, HOURS: 11am - 7pm, WEATHER PERMITTING

Snyder Avenue Park Sprayground

240 Snyder Avenue, Berkeley Heights, NJ

What to expect: Football themed splashpad with playground and restrooms located adjacent.

Ponderosa Farm Park and Sprayground

1600 Cooper Rd, Scotch Plains NJ

What to expect: Splashpad encircled by elaborate playground and large grassy fields. Short distance to restrooms and parking.

Dates and hours: Memorial Day to Labor Day, 9AM-9PM, Weather Permitting

Summit Family Aquatic Center

100 Ashwood Ave., Summit, NJ

What to expect: Olympic-sized main pool with attached dive tank  and a zero-depth entrance leisure pool, equipped with interactive play structures. The Center has a children’s playground, basketball court and sand volleyball court right at the facility!

Dates and hours: May 28, 2022 - Sep. 5, 2022. Open Daily starting June 15. Weekdays: 12PM-8PM, Weekends & Holidays: 11AM - 8PM

Admission price: Resident and Non-Resident Memberships are available. Memberships range from $395-790 for a family, with discounts for August only. The membership fees are listed on the town website.




The Colony Club 

55 School Avenue, Chatham, NJ

What to expect: Unique features include a 8,300 square foot sand beach, six 25-meter swim lanes and a Sand Castle Contest!

Dates and hours: May 25, 2022-Sep. 5, 2022; Pool hours vary, check schedule here for details.

Admission price: Resident and Non-Resident Memberships are available. Memberships range from $560-650 for a family, with discounts for August only.  The membership fees are listed on the town website.




JFK Aquatic Center

211 West Kinney Street, Newark, NJ 07103 (Entrance on Howard St.)

What to expect: Features the largest public indoor-outdoor pool in the state, an Olympic-size swimming pool with a retractable roof. Training pool for 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist Cullen Jones of Irvington.

Dates and hours: Monday: CLOSED, Tuesday- Friday: 11:30am- 7:30pm, Saturday: 9:30am-5:30pm, Sunday: CLOSED

Admission price: Membership is $5/year for Newark residents and $15/year for non-residents.
