Summer is here which means the kids are home much more than usual and I'm always looking for inexpensive entertainment options. Seeing a movie as a family of 5 can get expensive so I want to try to make it to a few free or inexpensive movies in theaters and outdoors so we can get the experience and not have to drop $100 every time we go!
Most of the movies listed here are on the event calendar so always check there weekly or daily, but I wanted to round up the summer kids' movies series in one article so you can refer back to it or plan ahead if you see something you really like on here. I am including graphics to all the ones that made graphics available (because I like to see the pictures of the movies for some reason) but first, here are the ones without graphics in list form!
Family Fun and Flix series - location varies, entertainment begins at 7:30pm, movies begin at dark, FREE

- August 6 – Ralph Breaks the Internet @ Meisel Park, Springfield (with NNO)
- August 12 – Incredibles 2 @ Tamaques Park, Westfield
- August 13 –Incredibles 2 @ Warinanco Park, Elizabeth
South Orange Summer Nights #SOSummerNights - at Floods Hill in Meadowland Park, movies begin at 8pm, FREE
