2019 NJ Makers Day Events for kids: March 23

NJ Makers Day events in and around Summit / Short Hills / SOMA

By Julie Lepore, Macaroni Kid Summit/SH/SOMA Publisher March 19, 2019

NJ Makers Day is a celebration of makers across the Garden State! It's an all-ages event to connect individuals with libraries, schools, businesses, and independent makerspaces that support making, tinkering, crafting, manufacturing, and STEM-based learning.

Several of our local libraries, schools, and businesses have opened up Makerspaces throughout the year which have had a significant impact on education and job skills development by providing access to people, information, resources, and tools that facilitate making to a wide variety of skill levels. NJ Makers Day allows communities to share hands-on programming opportunities, demonstrations and displays, and the expertise of the individuals and organizations that make, create, and develop right in their own backyards.
