Looking for some indoor but still winter-themed fun? Check out one of our local ice rinks! All of the rinks listed have public skate options and most offer "learn to skate" lessons as well! Check their calendars for specific dates and prices.

Richard J Codey Arena - West Orange - $7 child, $9/adult, $4/skate rental; free skate rentals during "Parent and Tot Skating"
Public skate: Sun 11:45a-1:15p, 2-3:30p, T 10a-12p, 5-6:30p, Th 10a-12p, F   7:30-9:30p, Sat 11:15a-1:15p, 2-3:30p; Parent and Tot Skating: TTh   10a-12p. (Check their calendar to confirm specific dates.) *Classes offered.*
My  husband's family is a hockey family so now mine is too, and we spend every Saturday at an ice skating class followed by public skate. The   kids love it and, more importantly, it exhausts them!

Union Sports Arena - Union - $9/person, $5/skate rental
Public skate: M-F 12-1:30p, F 7:30-9p, Sun 12:30-2p (Check their calendar to confirm specific dates.) *Classes offered.*
They offer public skates, skating lessons, figure skating, and probably  most  fun of all, open hockey and family hockey! Kids under the age of  17 or  families can come play hockey with friends for $15/session.

Warinanco Park Ice Rink - Roselle - $5-6/person, $5/skate rental
Public skate: T 11a-2p, W 11a-12p (FREE admission this day!), Th 11a-2p, F 11a-2p, 8-10p, Sat 10:15a-12:15p, 1:45-3:45p, 8:30-10:30p, Sun 12:45-2:45p, 5-7p, 7:30-9:30p
Public skate (free on Wednesdays!), open hockey for adults, learn to skate lessons. Schedule varies so CALL for details!

Westfield Ice Rink at Gumbert Park - Westfield
Public skate: F 7:30-9p, Sat 3-4:30p, Sun 2:30-4p
Public skating, family hockey, youth hockey, and private events!

Mennen Arena - Morristown - $3-9/person, $4/skate rental
Public skate: 10a-12p 7 days a week, M-F 3:30-5:30p, Sat/Sun 2-4p, F 8-10p
Public skate, lessons, private events, and a pro shop.
