Summer Wonder Camp at the Art Center in Summit

May 18, 2017

Engage your budding artists this summer at the Art Center in Summit! Libby Clarke, the new director of the Studio School wants her Art Camp to allow your child to experience creative fun, challenges, and adventure so thoroughly that they experience WONDER. Campers will lose all track of time because they are fully absorbed, taking risks, and coming into a whole new understanding of themselves and the world through art.

The Art Center’s award-winning camp is open to children and teens ages five and up and is led by professional art educators with the help of student counselors. Camp is offered on a week-by-week basis from June 26–August 31, featuring a new and exciting theme every week allowing you to sign your kids up for several sessions during the summer!

Children will explore exciting and varied media and creative practices that enhance knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts. Projects will include hands-on activities such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and three-dimensional work. Each camper will have the opportunity to create up to 10 original projects each week. At the end of the week, campers will put together an art show in their homeroom studio for family and friends to enjoy. Enroll your child now to experience the wonder and fun of art this summer!
