Please click here for our Area Sledding Guide!  We've included many of the most popular hills in the area, but please comment and let us know if you have more to add.

Also remember sledding is fun, but it can be hazardous, especially if kids go down the sled head first.  Therefore (needless to say!), it's also always useful to be mindful of the following:

  1. Make sure your child will not slide into the street or any oncoming cars
  2. Be very cautious of any sources of water in the immediate area (streams, ponds, lakes)
  3. Watch out for rocks/boulders in the sledding area and protect your sledders as necessary
  4. Wear proper snow gear and safety gear including helmets and call it quits before everyone gets too cold
  5. As you walk back up, watch out for sleds coming down the hill
  6. Be careful walking up sledding hills, it can be extremely slippery and sometimes very icy
  7. If your child is young, pull the sled up the hill for him or her, pulling a sled can be a source of falls and injuries for small children
  8. Do not overestimate your child ability to steer accurately on a hill
  9. Assess your child's size, the length and slope of the hill and don't push it
  10. Have Fun!
