SLEDDING AREA NAME: Oakdale Picnic Area in South Mountain Reservation
Address: Cherry Lane (also known as Brookside Drive) and Valley View Drive in between South Orange Avenue and Northfield Avenue
Appropriate Ages: 6 months to 12 years-old accompanied by caregivers
Features: This is an active sledding slope near the Oakdale outdoor picnic area. This is a nice and open slope. The landing area of the sledding is away from the parking lot which makes it safer. Unlike many of the areas within the South Mountain Reservation, the parking lot in this area is shoveled out and there is definitely a lot of fun to be had at this hill!
