Description
A walk in the forest for all ages in all weather and for all abilities. Calling all parents of curious children, if you've been looking for opportunities where your child can play, explore and wander in the great outdoors with other children, we welcome you to our Forest Explorer Groups. In these weekly outdoor gatherings, you can expect to meet other families looking for similar experiences. Our Forest Explorer Groups are parent-led, but without structured activities. This is a chance for children to get together and play however their little hearts and their little hands desire. Forest Explorer Groups are FREE to join, meet year round, no matter the weather and require no registration. Join whenever works for you!

There is a dirt parking lot off the side of the road on Brookside Ave
with a wide trail to Rahway river. Directions to entrance on BROOKSIDE
AVE (from south orange ave) - drive .4 mile, park on your LEFT. If you
pass a large field on your right you went too far. (From Glenn ave)
drive 1.4 miles, park on your RIGHT after you pass the large field on
your left.
