Pinkalicious, The Musical is back in our area! Now in it's 6th year this colorful musical arrives at Mayo Performing Arts Center on January 15th with shows at 1:30pm and 4:30pm. If you have a child between the ages of around 4 - 10 (particularly of the female gender :-)), chances are you have a number of Pinkalicious books by Elizabeth and Victoria Kann in the 'pink' or 'purple' room of your house right now. The Kann sisters expanded their pink empire by writing the book & lyrics to Pinkalicious The Musical and teaming up with award winning lyricist, composer, and orchestrator John Gregor.
This charming production brings the main character, Pinkalicious, to life and tells the cautionary tale of what happens when a child ignores warnings and eats everything she wants (in this case an over indulgence of pink cupcakes!). Pinkalicious, the determined protagonist, actually turns pink from head to toe, and she is the only one who can figure a way to get out of her predicament. The story, music, singing, dancing and colorful staging is sure to delight your little one!
