One of the fantastic things about living in our area is that we have access to Broadway caliber theater without ever needing to go down to Manhattan, thanks to the Paper Mill Playhouse in downtown Millburn (who just this year received the 2016 Regional Theatre Tony Award in honor of their work!) You may have read here before that in addition to catering to adults, The Paper Mill Playhouse also features a series of Children's Shows on Saturday mornings throughout the school year, for which we can often offer Ticket Giveaways (even with shows for which tickets are otherwise harder to come by due to their immense popularity!) The next show in the series is the musical The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and thanks to our friends at the Paper Mill Playhouse we have 4 tickets to offer for the December 17 show at 10am.
This enchanting musical is based on C.S. Lewis' adventure story about four children of war-torn England, who accidentally enter the land of Narnia by climbing through a magic wardrobe. This wondrous tale is faithfully translated to the stage by Theatreworks USA. The authors adapted this shortened version from their own full-length musical, Narnia. The longer work, performed in New York and London, was praised by critics and audiences alike. (The New Times said, “One is irresistibly drawn into the world of Narnia.”).
