Proudly covering Summit, Short Hills, South Orange, Maplewood, Berkeley Heights, Chatham, East Hanover, Florham Park, Livingston, Millburn, New Providence, and West Orange.

HELLO EVERYONE!!!

You may have heard about (or have been affected by) the major cyber attack today that occurred throughout the country (click here for more information).   The bad news is that Macaroni Kid appears to have been one of those affected, with a lot of recent info lost (which explains my tardiness as I had to re-enter events!) - but the good news is we are back up and running!  I wanted to get this out to you as soon as possible as there are lots of things going on; most everything has been re-entered, but please continue to refresh the calendar for updates! On to this week's activities:

First up is a ticket giveaway to see SOPAC's upcoming Kids 'N Family show for November called Humpty Dumpty and The Big Book of Nursery Rhymes.  The title may sound like it's for Preschoolers, but it's actually geared for  4 - 10 years old as it relies highly on audience participation and interaction.  Click here to enter the giveaway and read more about this fun show.

Next up, there are tons of Halloween-themed events for all ages, starting now and continuing all the way through to the big day!  Saturday, October 22 is the big Spooktacular at the Summit YMCA.  There's also special educational programs with a 'scary' theme such as Scary Plants, Scaredy Pants! at Frelinghuysen Arboretum.  In fact, there are so many Halloween-themed activities that I thought I would highlight them in my Macaroni Kid Ultimate Halloween Guide (which I have now done twice thanks to those cyber bullies! :-)).  Click here!

Other highlights this week include:
 - Author Doreen Cronin from Click, Clack Surprise at Maplewood
 - Apple Cidering at Great Swamp Outdoor Educational Center
 - A Free Fall Family Movie: Hotel Transylvania at MPAC

Please also don't forget to scroll down from the homepage for each day's events, and keep checking the Event Calendar for updates (and also be sure to 'like us' on Facebook and follow us on Twitter!)

Have a great week,
Liz
